The bubbles forming is a pretty good idea because it could mean things relative to the college (unity, equality, the formation of ideas etc).It could even work extremely well as an animated logo.

Can you change the yellow logo to red and if possible experiment with with purple instead of the yellow too?The top concept is interesting although it wouldn't suit a college.
